The most important aspect of Aswany’s narrative style is that there has not been any attempt made to hide the truth/reality about the elite classes of individuals ruling/leading in Egypt. There could not have been any better way to satirize the wasteful practices or the wasteful lives of the characters than to provide the reason and the truth about their hypocrisies. The contrasting elements of weddings and deaths can be considered to be something which could never be exhausted.
